Aevo System™

Secure, shorten, and stabilize your orthodontic treatments

Using the world’s most advanced therapeutic ultrasound system(1)(2)

The duration of orthodontic treatment is determined by the body’s natural ability to remodel the bone surrounding the patient’s tooth roots when orthodontic forces are applied. By adding Aevo System ultrasound to your conventional or aligner orthodontic treatment, you enhance the body’s natural bone remodeling process(4). Using the Aevo System for 20 minutes a day can reduce the total duration of orthodontic treatment by an average of 49%(1).

Aevo System™ is particularly suitable for the following cases:

• Cases subject to strict deadlines (correction within 6 to 8 months)
• Cases with compromised periodontal health
• Cases with previous orthodontic treatment/root resorption
• Patients undergoing treatment for ADHD/antidepressants
• Smokers
• Diabetics
• Patients with osteoporosis
• Patients with skeletal class II, III, open bite, deep bite

Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has been used successfully for over 30 years to accelerate orthopedic treatments and for over a decade for orthodontic treatments. This proven experience, along with the well-known clinical challenge of providing shorter orthodontic treatment, inspired the development of the Aevo system, an at-home orthodontic therapy.

During a treatment session, low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) is delivered directly to the bone surrounding the roots of the patient’s targeted teeth. The process stimulates osteoblast and osteoclast cells, safely accelerates alveolar bone remodeling, and reduces the risk of tooth root resorption during orthodontic treatment.

The use of LIPUS to improve the biology of tooth movement and shorten orthodontic treatment is a unique approach that deserves a unique name—OrthoSonic™ treatment.

The Aevo system comes with an app for the practice that allows real-time monitoring of patient compliance, facilitates communication between patients and the practice, and manages Aevo device inventory. Patients have access to their own smartphone app, allowing them to manage and track their progress.

Redefining Orthodontics

The orthodontic force applied by brackets or aligners is complemented by Aevo System™. The system’s LIPUS technology applies ultrasonic waves to the treatment site for the desired bone remodeling in the gum area: the cementum, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone engagement zone.

LIPUS stimulates bone remodeling, which accelerates orthodontic tooth movement because LIPUS has a direct signaling pathway at the cellular level of alveolar bone remodeling: both osteoclasts (bone resorption) and osteoblasts (bone formation).

How does it work?

The Aevo system is non-invasive and easy to use at home or on the go. Throughout orthodontic treatment, the Aevo system is simply placed in the mouth daily, over the braces or aligner.

Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) is then delivered directly to the bone surrounding the targeted tooth roots.

The Aevo system stimulates osteoblast and osteoclast cells, enabling safer and shorter orthodontic treatment. (1, 2, 3, 4)
